The Tri-Cities Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® coordinates a number of events to support its mission of ending breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. We encourage you to check out each of our programs; not only do they move us closer to realizing our goals, they're also fun!

Thanks to all who made an early commitment to purchase a Tennessee "Driving to a Cure" license plate. These beautiful plates can now be purchased from your County Clerk's office. 

Current and Upcoming Events

• March 12 - April 23 - Blue Windmill Galleries, Twenty Two Women, showing works by twenty two female artists.  Opening Night -  March 12, 6-9 pm.  10% of the net proceeds to benefit the Tri-Cities Affiliate of Susan G. • March 13 & 14 - Women's Head to Toe Expo, Freedom Hall Civic Center, Johnson City.  Expo proceeds to help benefit the Tri-Cities Affiliate.  The event will include speakers, entertainment, vendors and much more.  Stop by the Tri-Cities Komen booth and meet our volunteers and learn more about the importance of breast health and early detection.    For more information please go to the official website.

• March 30, 6:30-8:30 pm, Casting Call Volunteer Reception, Paramount Theatre, 518 State Street, Bristol, TN.  You are invited to come for an evening of fun as we at Komen Tri-Cities thank our very special volunteers for all of the work they do.  If you are interested in volunteer opportunities your are invited to join us as well!

• April 7, 9:30 am -11:00 am -Grants Reception & Press Conference, Bristol Motor Speedway, Bristol, TN. Please join us for a reception and press conference as we announce the 2010-2011 Grantees.  These are the organizations we fund to provide breast health education, mammograms and other treatment options to women in our 22 county service area.
  

• April, 14 - Northeast State Technical Community  College Health Fair.
  

• May 6, 10-5 - Wacoal Fit for the Cure, Belk, Johnson City.  Please stop by and receive a free bra fitting and help raise money for the Tri-Cities Komen Affiliate.  A Wacoal representative and Komen volunteers will be there to greet you!  Our affiliate will receive $2.00 for each fitting and another $2.00 should you decide to purchase a Wacoal bra.  Hope to see you there!

Breast Cancer 3-Day

Because everyone deserves a lifetime.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day® is a 60-mile walk for women and men who want to make a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer. Participants walk 60 miles in three days and help raise millions of dollars for breast cancer research and patient support programs.

Each night of the event, walkers experience an incredible mobile city that's more than just sleeping tents and warm showers, where they can eat, relax and renew their spirit with their fellow walkers.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
