TBCSP-Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program

In partnership with the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, the Sullivan County Regional Health Department’s goal is to ensure that every woman has access to screening for breast and cervical cancer, diagnostic testing, and treatment if necessary.

TBCSP partners with local health departments and other health care providers in Tennessee to provide the following breast and cervical cancer screening for eligible women:

  • Clinical Breast Exams(CBES)
  • Mammograms
  • Pap Smears
  • Office Visits

Who is eligible?

Patient eligibility for the TBCSP Program will be determined by the local health department. The following guidelines must be met in order to be eligible:

  • You are a resident of Tennessee
  • You are female
  • You are at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level for family size (as shown below)

For each additional person add $750 to the monthly income or $9,000 to the annual income.

  • You do not have insurance or your insurance does not cover breast or cervical screening, diagnosis or treatment services.

You are eligible for free Breast & Cervical Screening (Pap Smear and Clinical Breast Exam) if: you meet the general eligibility requirements, and:

  • You are ages 40-64

You are eligible for a free Mammogram if:

  • You are ages 50-64
  • You are ages 40-49 and have one of the following: a personal history of breast cancer, orhave a mother, sister or daughter with breast cancer.  Contact your health department to enroll in the TBSCP or if you should have questions.
