Laughlin Health Care Foundation partnered with the Greeneville City School System and Greene County School System to target 1885 senior high females and their mothers, teachers, and other staff members in the schools and educate and raise awareness to breast cancer and early detection. This year-long program was funded through a grant for $11,699 by the Tri-Cities Affiliate annual Grants Program.
The goal of this program is to target female high school seniors and their mothers or a significant female in their lives, teachers, and other school staff members to provide educational and motivational projects to learn and be aware of early breast cancer detection.Junior and senior high school females (pictured below left) who were chosen as the leadership committee in the Greene County and Greeneville School Systems, their sponsors, and other adults involved in the "Tell Your Mom, Save a Life" Program met for a kick-off meeting at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. The group enjoyed a healthy breakfast and saw a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation communicated the students role in the program, "Tell Your Mom, Save a Life."
