Pledge Program

The Friends for the Cure® Donations Program is a way by which the Komen for the Cure Race participants can do even more to help in the fight against breast cancer. You can go the extra mile by collecting pledges from family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. In this way, those who can't make it to the race can support your participation with their pledges, which are tax deductible.

Every dollar makes a difference! Seventy-five percent of the funds raised in our area go to fund local breast cancer education, screening, treatment and support in an 23-county service area. To see a list of our 2012-13 Grantees, click here. Locally, we have granted more than $1.74 Million over the past 6 years. 

You can also earn great prizes while supporting the cause. Incentive Prizes will be awarded to those who collect pledges of $200 or more AND turn them in by October 20, 2012 at 7pm.  Please note that pledges turned in on Race Day cannot be counted in your total.  Also, these prizes are awarded for indiviuals who collect pleges.   Team totals are not eligible for prizes.  Please pick up your prizes at the Incentive Tent on Race Day. We wil not be able to mail prizes.

Here are the incentive levels and prizes: 

$200-$249	Pink Komen Bandana
$250-$499	Cinch Bag
$500-$999	Promise Me Train Case
$1000-2499	Pink or Black Komen watch
$2500 -$3499	$200 VISA Gift Card and a $25 ShopKomen gift card
$3500+	$300 VISA Gift CArd and a $50 ShopKomen gift card

Ways to Submit Pledges:

• Donate on line via our Web site at komentricities.org   
• Submit your pledges at packet pick up at Dick's Sporting Goods in Kingsport, TN
• Stop by our office or mail them to 301 Louis Street, Suite 304 Kingsport,TN  37660 (Please do not mail cash. Obtaining a cashiers check is a much safer option!)
